RaYo BaYecano's Staffan Unesson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurre Beloki in the 20th minute of play. Staffan Unesson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurre Beloki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zacarías Encina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amat Zafrilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orlondo Diaz in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zacarías Encina prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 31 minutes into the match, Escaloneta77's goal looked a bit too open when Xuoco Companys came free, but Zacarías Encina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurre Beloki in the 35th minute of play forced RaYo BaYecano's goalkeeper Staffan Unesson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute Amat Zafrilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarías Encina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute there was a penalty for RaYo BaYecano. Demario Gonzáles stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Zacarías Encina. 0-1. The Escaloneta77 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. RaYo BaYecano were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leon Kiliz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, RaYo BaYecano's Leon Kiliz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Orlondo Diaz might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zacarías Encina. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Orlondo Diaz ran back to his position shaking his head. Zacarías Encina was a little too slow when Víktor Onopko got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Musko Clemente in the 65th minute of play forced RaYo BaYecano's goalkeeper Staffan Unesson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute Aurre Beloki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Staffan Unesson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leon Kiliz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Zacarías Encina made a huge save. Staffan Unesson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Musko Clemente in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 74thth minute of the game Xuoco Companys who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Escaloneta77's Zacarías Encina was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Escaloneta77's Gabriel Llinares got a free kick in the 75th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Escaloneta77's zone, Xuoco Companys stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zacarías Encina came out of the goal and Xuoco Companys tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 81st minute Xuoco Companys shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarías Encina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leon Kiliz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 82ndth minute, Zacarías Encina skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After having played for 85 minutes, Aurre Beloki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Escaloneta77's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurre Beloki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Leon Kiliz notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Escaloneta77's Zacarías Encina. Zacarías Encina was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the last second Zacarías Encina throw himself and got hold of the ball when Xuoco Companys in the 92ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The Escaloneta77 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. RaYo BaYecano were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
