Salvador Huarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th match minute, Sariñena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gero Feliu to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Cesaro Diaz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ares's supporters rose to their feet, but Cesaro Diaz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vistruario Galdamez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sindo Gabas to make the kick off. Salvador Huarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Salvador Huarte might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vistruario Galdamez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The referee showed Gero Feliu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ares booed when Sariñena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gero Feliu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 62 minutes into the game, Sariñena's Domeka Rivas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gregorio Vacas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Goren Pedrosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cesaro Diaz struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Vistruario Galdamez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ares. In the 69th minute, Nerio Baeza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cesaro Diaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vistruario Galdamez having to interfere. 72 minutes into the game, Xan Contratas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sariñena's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ares the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sariñena fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 71st minute. Penalty! Vistruario Galdamez went to the wrong direction when Mikel Camara was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 74th minute, Ciro Alfaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Illan March's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gregorio Vacas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Vistruario Galdamez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Huarte in the 77th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Cesaro Diaz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ares fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After 85 played minutes Ares got a freekick which was hit by Mikel Camara. With a little luck, Ares's Gregorio Vacas got control of the ball when Domeka Rivas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gregorio Vacas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Domeka Rivas in the 94th minute. Ares's Gregorio Vacas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sindo Gabas in the 96th minute of play. Cesaro Diaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ares players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
