Spectators: 7400 (Terracing: 5550, Seating: 1702, VIP seats: 148) Atlético Tomelloso's Gandolfo Munoz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, one of U.D La Espina:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for U.D La Espina. When the match had been going on for 6 minutes, Atlético Tomelloso's Porfirio Velasco got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Cruz Llinares. After 13 played minutes Atlético Tomelloso got a freekick which was hit by Luke Vagrande. If Valery Higuera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felipe Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valery Higuera in the 22nd minute of play. In the 26thth minute of the game Lolo Calatayud who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético Tomelloso's Felipe Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gandolfo Munoz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Cruz Llinares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 40 minutes, Valery Higuera made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Atlético Tomelloso's Felipe Sanz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Felipe Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valery Higuera in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th minute Valery Higuera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipe Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cruz Llinares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dalmu Castro in the 46th minute of play. After the first half U.D La Espina were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juan Blanco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Ignacio Carro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 54 played minutes Atlético Tomelloso got a freekick which was hit by Silvano Ramos. Juan Blanco took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Felipe Sanz. Atlético Tomelloso's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The throw-in from Cordera Patiño in the 64th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Atlético Tomelloso's Leal Vazquez. Dalmu Castro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cruz Llinares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Ignacio Carro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Felipe Sanz having to make a save. With his leg Felipe Sanz managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when U.D La Espina's Valery Higuera fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 77th minute Juan Blanco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipe Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Atlético Tomelloso getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Santiago Veloso hit a great ball. Valery Higuera could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Felipe Sanz made a huge save. 93 minutes into the game, Llorenc Mas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U.D La Espina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Tomelloso the free kick. U.D La Espina were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
