Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Blas Beloki started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Vistruario Galdamez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blas Beloki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raymond Montiel was out of position in the 9 minute of play, and Sindo Gabas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sindo Gabas really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Domeka Rivas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Raymond Montiel made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Nerio Baeza took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Raymond Montiel to make any attempt to save it. After 20 minutes, Nerio Baeza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sariñena and the Palamós players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Sariñena getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Nerio Baeza hit a great ball. Raymond Montiel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gero Feliu in the 23rd minute of the match. Domeka Rivas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raymond Montiel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. The supporters of Palamós booed when Sariñena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domeka Rivas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 35 played minutes Palamós got a freekick which was hit by Epicuro Dulce. Raymond Montiel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sindo Gabas, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The Sariñena fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Sariñena's Domeka Rivas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 41 played minutes Sariñena got a freekick which was hit by Almarín Cameno. The crowd rose to their feet as Sariñena's Domeka Rivas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Raymond Montiel. That made the score 5-0 after 45 minutes of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
If Rico Calvo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Blas Beloki in the 54thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vistruario Galdamez, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Xalvador Duran came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Palamós fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xalvador Duran couldn't finish the play. In the 56th minute, Illan March hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raymond Montiel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gero Feliu in the 59th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Sariñena's Sindo Gabas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raymond Montiel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 68th minute of the match Illan March sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Raymond Montiel skillfully saved the ball. Rico Calvo struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Vistruario Galdamez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palamós. Sariñena's Vistruario Galdamez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rico Calvo in the 72nd minute of play. In the 91st minute Domeka Rivas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raymond Montiel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sindo Gabas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Raymond Montiel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raymond Montiel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sindo Gabas in the 95th minute of play. Raymond Montiel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sindo Gabas, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Palamós players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sariñena.
