Gregorio Vacas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Madrid. When Gai Albizua fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Madrid's protests and gave Gai Albizua a yellow card for diving instead. In the 31st match minute, Real Madrid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gai Albizua to maneuver through the defense. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
