The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Salvador Huarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute, Pedrinho Custódio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felipe Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Goren Pedrosa in the 24th minute of the match. Felipe Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Huarte in the 29th minute of play. After 30 minutes, Santiago Veloso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético Tomelloso and the Ares players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 30th minute, Santiago Veloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 32 played minutes Ares got a freekick which was hit by Goren Pedrosa. Salvador Huarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Salvador Huarte came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Ares fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salvador Huarte couldn't finish the play. Felipe Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Goren Pedrosa in the 44th minute of the match. In the 44th match minute, Atlético Tomelloso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leal Vazquez to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Gregorio Vacas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fredo Treviño in the 53rd minute of play. Cesaro Diaz's late challenge caught a Atlético Tomelloso's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cesaro Diaz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 54th minute, Cesaro Diaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th minute, Gandolfo Munoz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 57 played minutes Atlético Tomelloso got a freekick which was hit by Leal Vazquez. Salvador Huarte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Atlético Tomelloso getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Fredo Treviño hit a great ball. 64 minutes into the match, Atlético Tomelloso's goal looked a bit too open when Cesaro Diaz came free, but Felipe Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cesaro Diaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Sanz having to interfere. Luke Vagrande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregorio Vacas having to interfere. Salvador Huarte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fredo Treviño fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregorio Vacas having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ares's Mikel Camara got a free kick in the 75th minute. If Cesaro Diaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Goren Pedrosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Sanz having to interfere. Gregorio Vacas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luke Vagrande, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Gregorio Vacas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fredo Treviño in the 86th minute of the match. Salvador Huarte charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Salvador Huarte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Atlético Tomelloso's Felipe Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Tomelloso from getting a goal against them. Cesaro Diaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Sanz having to interfere. Ares were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
