Hilario Fernandez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arotza Verdaguer kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. A hard shot 34 in the game by Hilario Fernandez from a close distance when the talented Zahar Elias managed to make a qualified save. Vengadores de Málaga's players were relieved. Rolando Barrios hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arotza Verdaguer got free with Zahar Elias in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hilario Fernandez to make the kick off. Arotza Verdaguer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zahar Elias having to interfere. Ted Solana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eustaquio Peña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beltran Abellan in the 88th minute of play forced Real Madrid's goalkeeper Ted Solana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arotza Verdaguer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Zahar Elias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
