The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute Salvador Camarasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almir Miranda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Almir Miranda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ionel Drâmbă in the 12th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Ullets-Fantfosti's goal looked a bit too open when Amancio Gabirel came free, but Almir Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Almir Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ionel Drâmbă in the 16th minute of the match. Colas Estrada kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Baldovino Torres could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Sam Guttenberg made a huge save. Baldovino Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sam Guttenberg having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Colas Estrada ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Almir Miranda was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. La Cultu's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Benito Morientes in the 30th minute. The corner ended in Benito Morientes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ullets-Fantfosti's Almir Miranda did a great save. In the 31st match minute, Ullets-Fantfosti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cordera Checa to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of La Cultu booed when Ullets-Fantfosti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldovino Torres didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ionel Drâmbă came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the La Cultu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ionel Drâmbă couldn't finish the play. Almir Miranda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ionel Drâmbă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half La Cultu were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ionel Drâmbă was the one to do the kick off. Sam Guttenberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldovino Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ullets-Fantfosti's goalkeeper Almir Miranda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Amancio Gabirel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Almir Miranda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Toribio Estrada in the 61st minute. Sam Guttenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldovino Torres in the 62nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Colas Estrada got free with Almir Miranda in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cordera Checa hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. A collision led to La Cultu getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Toribio Estrada hit a great ball. When Colas Estrada came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the La Cultu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Colas Estrada couldn't finish the play. If Ionel Drâmbă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Milton Acedo kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Amancio Gabirel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Almir Miranda was a little too slow when Ionel Drâmbă got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 0-2. In the 91st minute, Ionel Drâmbă got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 96 minutes into the match, La Cultu's goal looked a bit too open when Baldovino Torres came free, but Sam Guttenberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. La Cultu's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
