Nabar Serena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nel Villanueva in the 24th minute of play. Nel Villanueva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nabar Serena having to interfere. Valencia CF's defense didn't have a chance, in the 27th minute, when Dagoberto Cainzos scored to the left of an out of position Nabar Serena, making the score, 2-1. Nofre Tobias scored 3-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nabar Serena, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Valencia CF's Nabar Serena got control of the ball when Dagoberto Cainzos tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dagoberto Cainzos in the 39th minute of play forced Valencia CF's goalkeeper Nabar Serena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nabar Serena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bartolomé Amorebieta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nabar Serena was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Meilan's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
