The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Domenico Verdu fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Valencia FC's protests and gave Domenico Verdu a yellow card for diving instead. ESPEIN 2011's Miliano Ballesteros was substituted for David Ramirez. In the 5th match minute, Valencia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domenico Verdu to maneuver through the defense. Valencia FC's Gregorio Bouzon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Valencia FC from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marco Cabada in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gregorio Bouzon saved Valencia FC from getting behind. When Quilino Diez fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ESPEIN 2011's protests and gave Quilino Diez a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to ESPEIN 2011 getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Quilino Diez hit a great ball. 18 minutes into the match, Josu Cabada had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lope Mangas. ESPEIN 2011's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Josu Cabada was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Baldemar Escobar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miliano Ballesteros got free with Gregorio Bouzon in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 25 minutes into the match, Valencia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Cabada came free, but Gregorio Bouzon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Valencia FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Josete Picazo hit a great ball. In the 26th minute of the match Baldemar Escobar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gregorio Bouzon showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 27th match minute, Valencia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josete Picazo to maneuver through the defense. Walme Alcalde placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After a rather tough play, ESPEIN 2011's Baldemar Escobar got a free kick in the 39th minute. Lope Mangas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josu Cabada in the 41st minute of play. The supporters of Valencia FC booed when ESPEIN 2011 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Cabada didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valencia FC's Gregorio Bouzon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Valencia FC from getting a goal against them. Josete Picazo kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Josu Cabada made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Josu Cabada in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lope Mangas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Josu Cabada's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lope Mangas was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. With a little luck, ESPEIN 2011's Lope Mangas got control of the ball when Josu Cabada tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 59 minutes of play Valencia FC's Domenico Verdu was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Valencia FC's Domenico Verdu got a free kick in the 60th minute. Marco Cabada recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 69 minutes of play, Valencia FC's Oxel Verges made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lope Mangas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Valencia FC's Gregorio Bouzon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miliano Ballesteros in the 75th minute of play. The throw-in from Aristides De Silva in the 77th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by ESPEIN 2011's Quilino Diez. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 79th minute, when Valencia FC's Aristides De Silva after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Lope Mangas in ESPEIN 2011's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. A sloppy throw-in by Quilino Diez in the 89th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Valencia FC's Vitor Cambero. Josu Cabada charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Josu Cabada the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 94th minute, Josu Cabada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valencia FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
