After 15 played minutes, Deportiva Pulpitera's Narciso Arenas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Per-Arne Gunnarsson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Deportiva Pulpitera reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viviano Pedraza in the 18th minute of play forced Deportiva Pulpitera's goalkeeper Orlo Gómez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Orlo Gómez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Viviano Pedraza showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 20 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Deportiva Pulpitera's zone, Pio Acha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orlo Gómez came out of the goal and Pio Acha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Orlo Gómez made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Viviano Pedraza sent off a good shot on target. Aloisio Alcantara did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-0 to the left of a surprised Orlo Gómez 37 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the game, Viviano Pedraza recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Orlo Gómez. Viviano Pedraza showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. In the 47th minute, Nabucodonosor Durango got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Quintin Lacorte stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
