But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rexino Baltanas couldn't finish the play. Bartolo Planes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bartolo Planes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gizon Cano in the 25th minute of the match. Benigno Lacorte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Valerón, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Lucis Augusti's Xavier Arias got a free kick in the 31st minute. Andrés Unzueta took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benigno Lacorte. Lucis Augusti's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Nastic's goalkeeper Bartolo Planes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Josete Bueno. After 38 played minutes Nastic got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Losada. If Gizon Cano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rexino Baltanas during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 45th minute, Rexino Baltanas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute Gizon Cano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bartolo Planes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 48 minutes, Gizon Cano took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Bartolo Planes to make any attempt to save it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rexino Baltanas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lucis Augusti's goalkeeper Benigno Lacorte, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Xavier Arias's late challenge caught a Nastic's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 74th minute, Gartzea Llinares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rexino Baltanas in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benigno Lacorte prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 78th match minute, Lucis Augusti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josete Bueno to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute Gizon Cano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bartolo Planes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Lucis Augusti's Adrián Camara got a free kick in the 83rd minute. 84 minutes into the game, Rexino Baltanas lined in a short shot 2-1 behind a frustrated Benigno Lacorte. If Aitor Font had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Rexino Baltanas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benigno Lacorte was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. Many of Nastic's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Nastic may have spent more time on the ball, but Lucis Augusti were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
