Fernando Laredo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Teobaldo Ruiz went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. The Arbo C.F players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. F.C. Tarragona U21-U23 were winning 0-5.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Xalvador Sánchez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Arbo C.F's goalkeeper Fernando Laredo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teobaldo Ruiz. In the 55th minute, Fructuoso Esteban got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Tino Molina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Through an outstanding action, after 70 minutes, Fernando Laredo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of F.C. Tarragona U21-U23 booed when Arbo C.F was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ismael Clos didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Urtungo Bouzon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute Teobaldo Ruiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Laredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded F.C. Tarragona U21-U23 left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Arbo C.F.
