Spectators: 7465 (Terracing: 5584, Seating: 1831, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Austin Velazquez started the match with the kick off. Baldovino Alcalde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nazario Dagora, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Nazario Dagora kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Carles Puyol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to SuliMelilla getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Javier Mascherano hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Austin Velazquez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Villapalacios SAD's supporters rose to their feet, but Austin Velazquez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sabino Peña breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jerrold Morales received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Sabino Peña tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Casimiro Abascal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Baldovino Alcalde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quinito Rubio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Javier Mascherano hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. 32 minutes into the match, SuliMelilla's goalkeeper Sabino Peña had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Herberto Ledo. Sabino Peña didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jerrold Morales went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 41st minute, Epifanio Mas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd minute of the match Austin Velazquez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sabino Peña showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jerrold Morales received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sabino Peña came out and tried to block the shot, but Jerrold Morales slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Quinito Rubio to make the kick off. Sabino Peña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerrold Morales, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sabino Peña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Olle, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Sabino Peña showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Austin Velazquez in the 61st minute of the match. In the 61st minute Austin Velazquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sabino Peña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Austin Velazquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Coelho hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Baldovino Alcalde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quinito Rubio in the 76th minute of play. After 80 played minutes SuliMelilla got a freekick which was hit by Casimiro Abascal. Sabino Peña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerrold Morales, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baldovino Alcalde was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Quinito Rubio showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 92 minute of play. When Quinito Rubio came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the SuliMelilla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Quinito Rubio couldn't finish the play. Villapalacios SAD walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
