PANTERA NEGRA's Joachim Macías played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henric Ortega in the 31st minute of play. Joachim Macías took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kiko Ferrer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Fabiano Tatangelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

PANTERA NEGRA's Luke Ribas was substituted for Benigno Ramis. The supporters of PANTERA NEGRA booed when Celtistas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xicu Abascal didn't get a good kick on the ball. 55 minutes into the match, Celtistas's goal looked a bit too open when Eneto Redondo came free, but Rodney Marines reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 55 played minutes Celtistas got a freekick which was hit by Nabucodonosor Campomanes. The PANTERA NEGRA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joachim Macías should have stopped the shot. Rodney Marines showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luke Ribas in the 79th minute of the match. Celtistas were awarded a corner in the 82th minute after PANTERA NEGRA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Xicu Abascal took the corner. Rodney Marines showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lobo Estruch, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Nabucodonosor Campomanes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joachim Macías having to interfere. Xabat Diaz might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joachim Macías. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Xabat Diaz ran back to his position shaking his head. Nabucodonosor Campomanes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Celtistas's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
