Jerrold Feliu was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Xicu Contreras capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Xicu Contreras really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The Rayo Virtudes fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when Rayo Virtudes's John Griful looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jerrold Feliu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xicu Contreras, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After a defensive mix-up in SPQR's zone, Xicu Contreras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jerrold Feliu came out of the goal and Xicu Contreras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sotil Rienda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chepe Zárate's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Sotil Rienda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chepe Zárate in the 33rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling John Griful in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jerrold Feliu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. John Griful sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 46 minutes in the game, Xicu Contreras fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jerrold Feliu having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in SPQR's zone, Xicu Contreras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jerrold Feliu came out of the goal and Xicu Contreras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Xicu Contreras stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Xicu Contreras took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jerrold Feliu. Jerrold Feliu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. In the 58th minute, Pascual Alcantara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jerrold Feliu came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Rayo Virtudes's Xicu Contreras. But to his dismay, Xicu Contreras quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Jerrold Feliu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Griful in the 67th minute of the match. Xicu Contreras struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Jerrold Feliu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rayo Virtudes. Lisandro Abancens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Jerrold Feliu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 78 minutes, Xicu Contreras managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rayo Virtudes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xicu Contreras was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jerrold Feliu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Gómez in the 79th minute of the match. In the 83rd match minute, Rayo Virtudes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Griful to maneuver through the defense. Xicu Contreras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerrold Feliu having to interfere. The supporters of SPQR booed when Rayo Virtudes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Barrios didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Rayo Virtudes had played much better football throughout.
