Etxepare Marines kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Firman Vilanova showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anton Lenaerts, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. After 7 played minutes CD Canillas got a freekick which was hit by Severo Bencoiechea. The supporters of CD Canillas booed when Melilleros C.F was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Hevia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 15 played minutes CD Canillas got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Herrera. Turi Obis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnas Maldonado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Severo Bencoiechea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Firman Vilanova having to interfere. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Anton Lenaerts sped through Melilleros C.F's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Firman Vilanova. Melilleros C.F's Firman Vilanova played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olivar Camara in the 27th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, CD Canillas's César Bargas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Firman Vilanova narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 34 minutes, Anton Lenaerts managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD Canillas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anton Lenaerts was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 46 minutes into the game, Anton Lenaerts was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CD Canillas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Melilleros C.F the free kick. After a rather tough play, CD Canillas's Anton Lenaerts got a free kick in the 46th minute. After the first half CD Canillas were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arnas Maldonado to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Melilleros C.F's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Lenaerts came free, but Firman Vilanova reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute Anton Lenaerts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Firman Vilanova saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Firman Vilanova took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Etxepare Marines, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anton Lenaerts took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 60th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Firman Vilanova. Melilleros C.F's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. César Bargas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Firman Vilanova having to interfere. In the 62nd match minute, CD Canillas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Etxepare Marines to maneuver through the defense. If Anton Lenaerts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Anton Lenaerts in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Firman Vilanova, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Olivar Camara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Firman Vilanova read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Zoilo Infante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olivar Camara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anton Lenaerts got free with Firman Vilanova in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 86th minute, Arnas Maldonado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Germán Merino kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Turi Obis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnas Maldonado in the 89th minute of the match. In the 92nd match minute, CD Canillas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Etxepare Marines to maneuver through the defense. Melilleros C.F's Firman Vilanova played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olivar Camara in the 95th minute of play. During the 95th minute of the match Roberto Hevia completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Roberto Hevia a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Roberto Hevia kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded CD Canillas left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Melilleros C.F.
