But to his dismay, Alf Jonsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 8 minutes into the game, Villarrubia De Los Ojos's Rubén Castro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Firman Vilanova made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Rico Soldado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Delcho Katerinski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alf Jonsson in the 15th minute of play forced Melilleros C.F's goalkeeper Firman Vilanova to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alf Jonsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd minute, Alf Jonsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Firman Vilanova was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Niva Reyes charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Niva Reyes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Niva Reyes kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Peri Correa hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niva Reyes in the 35th minute of play forced Melilleros C.F's goalkeeper Firman Vilanova to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Rico Soldado fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Melilleros C.F's protests and gave Rico Soldado a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Villarrubia De Los Ojos booed when Melilleros C.F was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rico Soldado didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alf Jonsson in the 41st minute of play forced Melilleros C.F's goalkeeper Firman Vilanova to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Niva Reyes came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Villarrubia De Los Ojos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niva Reyes couldn't finish the play. After having played for 46 minutes, Niva Reyes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Villarrubia De Los Ojos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Niva Reyes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arnas Maldonado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Melilleros C.F's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Alf Jonsson scored to the left of an out of position Firman Vilanova, making the score, 0-4. In the 60th minute of the match, Niva Reyes got a very nice opportunity to score, but Firman Vilanova was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Firman Vilanova made an important save on a dangerous shot by Niva Reyes in the 63rd minute. Firman Vilanova showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alf Jonsson in the 64th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, Melilleros C.F's goal looked a bit too open when Alf Jonsson came free, but Firman Vilanova reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 72 minutes of play, Villarrubia De Los Ojos's Alf Jonsson made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Firman Vilanova was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Villarrubia De Los Ojos getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Rubén Castro hit a great ball. In the 88th minute, Alf Jonsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th match minute, Villarrubia De Los Ojos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alf Jonsson to maneuver through the defense. Arnas Maldonado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Delcho Katerinski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Villarrubia De Los Ojos's Eliu Sanz got a free kick in the 95th minute. The Villarrubia De Los Ojos players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
