The SD Cruces fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antonio Moreno should have stopped the shot. In the 36th match minute, SD Cruces was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Favila Diez to maneuver through the defense. The SD Cruces players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Paredes were winning 0-6.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Che Maroto to make the kick off. Antonio Moreno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edelmiro Morales, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antonio Moreno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claus Camarasa in the 76th minute of the match. After taking down the ball on Paredes's corner Jules Pélissier fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Antonio Moreno quite easily take care of the ball. Che Maroto charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Che Maroto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SD Cruces booed when Paredes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Che Maroto didn't get a good kick on the ball.
