The crowd rose to their feet as Matasuegras FC's Espiridion Garcia slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Munroe Brooks. That made the score 1-0 after 2 minutes of play. Renato Augusto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Munroe Brooks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Espiridion Garcia in the 8thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Munroe Brooks, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 16th minute, Dikdik Ardiwilaga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Matasuegras FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Dikdik Ardiwilaga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Munroe Brooks made a huge save. The supporters of Matasuegras FC booed when Marcelo´s FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adulfo Blazquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adulfo Blazquez hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. The long shot by Dikdik Ardiwilaga in the 29th minute really tested Munroe Brooks's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 31st minute, Dolfo Abancens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lano Balboa kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Matasuegras FC's Espiridion Garcia slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Munroe Brooks. That made the score 4-0 after 38 minutes of play. After 43 played minutes Matasuegras FC got a freekick which was hit by Jerico Aranzubia. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Espiridion Garcia scored 5-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Munroe Brooks, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 57th minute Espiridion Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Munroe Brooks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Munroe Brooks stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dikdik Ardiwilaga's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. After a rather tough play, Marcelo´s FC's Adulfo Blazquez got a free kick in the 60th minute. When Renato Augusto came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Matasuegras FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renato Augusto couldn't finish the play. After 66 minutes, Xabat Elguero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marcelo´s FC and the Matasuegras FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 66th match minute, Marcelo´s FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xabat Elguero to maneuver through the defense. Espiridion Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Munroe Brooks having to interfere. When Renato Augusto came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Matasuegras FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renato Augusto couldn't finish the play. If Oscar Minguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute, Angelo Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Barry Dimmock managed to get in a good position for a shot. Matasuegras FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Barry Dimmock was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Munroe Brooks breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Munroe Brooks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Espiridion Garcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 82nd minute, Jerico Aranzubia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Munroe Brooks was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. 7-1 came in the 87th minute when Espiridion Garcia all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Munroe Brooks. Asensio Reina could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Mats Wallengren made a huge save. In the 93rd match minute, Matasuegras FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerico Aranzubia to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dikdik Ardiwilaga in the 96th minute of play forced Marcelo´s FC's goalkeeper Munroe Brooks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matasuegras FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
