But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Estebano Cardeñosa couldn't finish the play. Eduardo Palencia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Musko Bellido went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 12 minutes into the game, Tirvia's Estebano Cardeñosa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eduardo Palencia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 15th minute, Tirvia's Estebano Cardeñosa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. In the 18th minute, Xamo Feria got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Tirvia getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Flavius Nisipeanu hit a great ball. Froilan Segarra came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Girona FC's Hechter Moya. But to his dismay, Hechter Moya quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. With an all-out effort, Tirvia's Eduardo Palencia threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Flavius Nisipeanu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Xamo Feria's late challenge caught a Tirvia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Xamo Feria helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Girona FC's Xamo Feria got a free kick in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beila Buendia in the 33rd minute of play forced Tirvia's goalkeeper Froilan Segarra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Tirvia's goal looked a bit too open when Hechter Moya came free, but Froilan Segarra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Girona FC booed when Tirvia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aritz Acarreta didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th minute of the match Hechter Moya shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Froilan Segarra showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Girona FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Flavius Nisipeanu 39 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 4-1. Eduardo Palencia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavius Nisipeanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 51st minute, Baltasar Lalla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eduardo Palencia was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. In the 70th minute Flavius Nisipeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Palencia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 71 minutes of play, Tirvia's Musko Bellido made it 8-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. After a rather tough play, Girona FC's Hechter Moya got a free kick in the 76th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Musko Bellido managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tirvia's supporters rose to their feet, but Musko Bellido was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eduardo Palencia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Girona FC's Eduardo Palencia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Musko Bellido in the 80th minute of play. Musko Bellido scored 9-2 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eduardo Palencia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 95th minute, Aimar Pedriza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 97 minutes into the match, Julen Castellano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Froilan Segarra. Tirvia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julen Castellano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 11-3. Tirvia were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Girona FC for a fine match.
