The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Roque Crespo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but 林霖德 firmly grabbed it by the left post. 林霖德 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roque Crespo in the 10th minute of the match. Aurelian Mergea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alba Feliu in the 12th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iván Vagrande in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg 林霖德 saved Puente Genil from getting behind. In the 19th minute Alba Feliu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelian Mergea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 23 played minutes Puente Genil got a freekick which was hit by Andrei Avila. Purnomo Pornsaptaveekoon hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Aurelian Mergea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gaizko Ramirez went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Atakan Nuralp during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Atakan Nuralp hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Tacito Pardo hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. When Andrei Avila came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Puente Genil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrei Avila couldn't finish the play. After 41 played minutes Deportivo La Korumha got a freekick which was hit by Orlondo Marques. Puente Genil's Pablo Toxeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tommy Ahlgren made in the 46th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Puente Genil's Marcelino Clos. After the first half Puente Genil were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andrei Avila stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Deportivo La Korumha's goal looked a bit too open when Gaizko Ramirez came free, but Aurelian Mergea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pablo Toxeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aurelian Mergea made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Andrei Avila sent off a good shot on target. After 65 played minutes Puente Genil got a freekick which was hit by Andrei Avila. If Alba Feliu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roque Crespo in the 73rd minute of play forced Puente Genil's goalkeeper 林霖德 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Deportivo La Korumha's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Atakan Nuralp in the 74th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo Toxeiro in the 75th minute of play forced Deportivo La Korumha's goalkeeper Aurelian Mergea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Atakan Nuralp kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Gaizko Ramirez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Aurelian Mergea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Roque Crespo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alba Feliu struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Aurelian Mergea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Puente Genil. Gaizko Ramirez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelian Mergea having to interfere. Aurelian Mergea was out of position in the 90 minute of play, and Andrei Avila capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Andrei Avila really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. After 96 played minutes Deportivo La Korumha got a freekick which was hit by Purnomo Pornsaptaveekoon.
