Gav Benbow was a little too slow when Xian Vacas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 1-2. Gav Benbow showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xano Castellano, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Crescencio Guijarro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Gav Benbow tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angelino Lawrence prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Mugurel Nediu sped through Velez-Malaga's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Angelino Lawrence. Gav Benbow made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Crescencio Guijarro sent off a good shot on target. Murcia Promesas's Dito de Carvalho managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Zachariasz Haskiewicz in the 43 minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Uhin Ramis in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angelino Lawrence prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The wind increased when Mugurel Nediu made the kick off in the second half. Angelino Lawrence made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Bartosz Nowak sent off a good shot on target. Mugurel Nediu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 53rdth minute, Angelino Lawrence skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Murcia Promesas were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Velez-Malaga's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Pablo Paz took the corner. Ramón Grau's late challenge caught a Velez-Malaga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ramón Grau helped the player get up and apologised. In the 57th minute, Ramón Grau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 61 minutes into the match, Murcia Promesas's Mugurel Nediu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Angelino Lawrence narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After taking down the ball on Murcia Promesas's corner Pablo Paz fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Angelino Lawrence quite easily take care of the ball. Xano Castellano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gav Benbow having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Murcia Promesas's zone, Xano Castellano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gav Benbow came out of the goal and Xano Castellano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Velez-Malaga's goalkeeper Angelino Lawrence, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Ramón Grau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gav Benbow showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xano Castellano, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Uhin Ramis's late challenge caught a Velez-Malaga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The Murcia Promesas supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Murcia Promesas would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
