The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind NEWPEEN's goalkeeper Remigijus Žirgulis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 10 minutes in the game, Roland Renoux dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. When HORTALEZA FC's Roland Renoux in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The HORTALEZA FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Feijo Zárate should have stopped the shot. Qiao Yu Guang kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, NEWPEEN's goal looked a bit too open when Roland Renoux came free, but Remigijus Žirgulis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Rogelio Garoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogelio Garoa in the 29th minute of play forced HORTALEZA FC's goalkeeper Feijo Zárate to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roland Renoux in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Remigijus Žirgulis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by NEWPEEN's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Glauke Mihas was slow to take the kick. During this time HORTALEZA FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Glauke Mihas almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but NEWPEEN's Remigijus Žirgulis did a great save. In the 40th minute, Roland Renoux ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Remigijus Žirgulis was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. HORTALEZA FC's Feijo Zárate played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogelio Garoa in the 44th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roland Renoux in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Remigijus Žirgulis saved NEWPEEN from getting behind. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rogelio Garoa to strike the kick off in the second half. Remigijus Žirgulis made a fantastic save in the 50th minute, when Roland Renoux sent off a good shot on target. After 56 played minutes HORTALEZA FC got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Darroja. In the 59th minute of the match Rogelio Garoa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Feijo Zárate skillfully saved the ball. The audience was convinced that Roland Renoux's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Remigijus Žirgulis was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Remigijus Žirgulis was a little too slow when Roland Renoux got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 1-3. Alex Gómez hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. 67 minutes into the match, NEWPEEN's goal looked a bit too open when Roland Renoux came free, but Remigijus Žirgulis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 67 in the game by Roland Renoux from a close distance when the talented Remigijus Žirgulis managed to make a qualified save. NEWPEEN's players were relieved. Roland Renoux in the 67thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Remigijus Žirgulis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Feijo Zárate showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogelio Garoa, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 69th minute of the match NEWPEEN got a corner. HORTALEZA FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rogelio Garoa ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on NEWPEEN's corner Rogelio Garoa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Feijo Zárate quite easily take care of the ball. In the 71st minute, HORTALEZA FC's Galsino Vilanova dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. 76 minutes into the match, NEWPEEN's goalkeeper Remigijus Žirgulis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roland Renoux. 78 minutes into the match, Rogelio Garoa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Feijo Zárate. HORTALEZA FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rogelio Garoa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. In the 91st minute, Roland Renoux got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of HORTALEZA FC booed when NEWPEEN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogelio Garoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Roland Renoux put it in 2-5 from a short distance just to the right of Remigijus Žirgulis. HORTALEZA FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
