Isidoro Viqueira was slow to take the kick. During this time Velez-Malaga's players had a chance to rest. Isidoro Viqueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angelino Lawrence showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alonso Vicente in the 28th minute of the match. Angelino Lawrence showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Placido Aguilo, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Angelino Lawrence was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of XSX F.C. booed when Velez-Malaga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xian Vacas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Angelino Lawrence showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Balesio Arraz in the 45th minute of the match. Felix Zubizarreta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isidoro Viqueira in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Angelino Lawrence was a little too slow when Balesio Arraz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 51st minute. The score was now 1-3. When Placido Aguilo came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the XSX F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Placido Aguilo couldn't finish the play. 59 minutes into the match, XSX F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Edmund Dulemba came free, but Felix Zubizarreta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. XSX F.C. were furious when Jocelyn Angloma was red carded, 64 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in XSX F.C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! Isidoro Viqueira took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Felix Zubizarreta. Felix Zubizarreta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Balesio Arraz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Angelino Lawrence made a huge save. Alonso Vicente hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isidoro Viqueira in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Felix Zubizarreta saved XSX F.C. from getting behind. Velez-Malaga's Angelino Lawrence played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Placido Aguilo in the 77th minute of play. Placido Aguilo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 77thth minute, Angelino Lawrence skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 82 played minutes Velez-Malaga got a freekick which was hit by Pankracy Sliwinski. 83 minutes into the game, Edmund Dulemba was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Velez-Malaga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave XSX F.C. the free kick. Edmund Dulemba kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. A hard shot 84 in the game by Balesio Arraz from a close distance when the talented Angelino Lawrence managed to make a qualified save. Velez-Malaga's players were relieved. After having played for 88 minutes, Laurgain Jaen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. XSX F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Laurgain Jaen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Velez-Malaga's Edmund Dulemba got his second yellow card of the match in the 93rd minute. The referee ordered Edmund Dulemba off the ground. Edmund Dulemba kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, XSX F.C.'s Balesio Arraz got a free kick in the 94th minute. A collision led to XSX F.C. getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Laurgain Jaen hit a great ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the XSX F.C. players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
