After 2 played minutes Murcia Promesas got a freekick which was hit by Ramón Grau. Tancredo Griful made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Viqueira in the 3rd minute of play. After 5 minutes of play, Velez-Malaga's Isidoro Viqueira made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tancredo Griful was left in no man's land by his defense there! Crescencio Guijarro took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tancredo Griful. Tancredo Griful dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Tancredo Griful showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Crescencio Guijarro in the 11th minute of the match. Tancredo Griful took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reno Fonticoba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Crescencio Guijarro during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 17 played minutes Velez-Malaga got a freekick which was hit by Crescencio Guijarro. 21 minutes into the match, Reno Fonticoba notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Murcia Promesas's Tancredo Griful. Tancredo Griful was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tancredo Griful showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reno Fonticoba in the 24th minute of the match. Reno Fonticoba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lucio Rivera kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Reno Fonticoba had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tancredo Griful. Murcia Promesas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reno Fonticoba was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. 47 minutes into the match, Murcia Promesas's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Viqueira came free, but Tancredo Griful reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Isidoro Viqueira to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Velez-Malaga's Isidoro Viqueira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tancredo Griful. Tancredo Griful yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Amado Pena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tancredo Griful having to interfere. Tancredo Griful made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Isidoro Viqueira sent off a good shot on target. When Lucio Rivera fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Murcia Promesas's protests and gave Lucio Rivera a yellow card for diving instead. 67 minutes into the game, Velez-Malaga's Peru Alcaraz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tancredo Griful made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. After having played for 70 minutes, Isidoro Viqueira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Velez-Malaga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidoro Viqueira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 72nd minute Isidoro Viqueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tancredo Griful saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tancredo Griful made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isidoro Viqueira in the 74th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isidoro Viqueira got free with Tancredo Griful in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tancredo Griful showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Rallo in the 79th minute of the match. In the 84th match minute, Velez-Malaga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ugutz Navas to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute, Ariel Domenech hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute Peru Alcaraz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tancredo Griful saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, Crescencio Guijarro notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of Murcia Promesas's Tancredo Griful. Tancredo Griful was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Velez-Malaga played a much better game than Murcia Promesas and deserved their victory. The Murcia Promesas players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
