The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Piotr Gacek's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manuel Antonio Caballero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Manuel Antonio Caballero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anísio Arósio went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. República's Manuel Antonio Caballero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Piotr Gacek in the 13th minute of play. Zunbeltz Coello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. But to his dismay, Franklin de Moraes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After some careless play in the República defense, Piotr Bernaciak kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manuel Antonio Caballero. The República fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manuel Antonio Caballero should have stopped the shot. In the 21st minute Rio Campos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Antonio Caballero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the game, East Telde United's Anísio Arósio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manuel Antonio Caballero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Anísio Arósio scored 0-6 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manuel Antonio Caballero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. República's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-10. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-10 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Piotr Gacek was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute, Rio Campos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manuel Antonio Caballero was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-11. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Krzysztof Balonek put it in 0-12 from a short distance just to the right of Manuel Antonio Caballero. Llorenc Silvestre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Ponce De Leon in the 64th minute of play. 66 minutes into the game, Rio Campos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-13.
