Zeledon Arribas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zula Turek in the 16th minute of the match. Cebollas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lluis Idiaquez in the 18th minute. With a little luck, Cebollas's Sarracino De la Rosa got control of the ball when Santxo Campoamor tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ludvig Hedling got free with Sarracino De la Rosa in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. That made the score 1-0 after 30 minutes of play. 34 minutes into the match, Zestoa FT's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Erik Magnusson came free, but Zeledon Arribas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sarracino De la Rosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zbyszek Frenzel in the 41st minute of play. Zestoa FT's Santxo Campoamor was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sarracino De la Rosa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 74 minutes into the game, Zbyszek Frenzel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Sarracino De la Rosa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 87th minute Santxo Campoamor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sarracino De la Rosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the game, Zestoa FT's Ludvig Hedling nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sarracino De la Rosa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Zestoa FT fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cebollas had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
