Jacob Alavedra came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Ourense's Unai Calatayud. But to his dismay, Unai Calatayud quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If Unai Calatayud had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Unai Calatayud in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacob Alavedra saved Ciruel Academy from getting behind. Jacob Alavedra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Unai Calatayud in the 12th minute of play. A collision led to Ciruel Academy getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Benicio Mimica hit a great ball. When Atlético Ourense's Unai Calatayud in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ciruel Academy's goalie prevented a goal. After 16 played minutes Ciruel Academy got a freekick which was hit by Sigfrido Soldado. 19 minutes into the game, Sigfrido Soldado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ciruel Academy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Ourense the free kick. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ciruel Academy's goalkeeper Jacob Alavedra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Atlético Ourense getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Marcos Odín hit a great ball. In the 25th minute, Atlético Ourense's Unai Calatayud ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jacob Alavedra. Jacob Alavedra yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 30thth minute of the game Unai Calatayud who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ciruel Academy's Jacob Alavedra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Unai Calatayud's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacob Alavedra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute Unai Calatayud shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacob Alavedra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Sigfrido Soldado in the 34th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Atlético Ourense's Marcos Odín. Unai Calatayud might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacob Alavedra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Unai Calatayud ran back to his position shaking his head. Jacob Alavedra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Unai Calatayud in the 40th minute. In the 43rd minute, Dubardo Mangas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jacob Alavedra. The goal made the score 3-0. After 46 played minutes Atlético Ourense got a freekick which was hit by Leonides Sánchez. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The referee gave Atlético Ourense a penalty, 54 minutes into the game. Jacob Alavedra came out of the goal and Unai Calatayud tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ciruel Academy's Sigfrido Soldado got his second yellow card of the match in the 58th minute. The referee ordered Sigfrido Soldado off the ground. An unexpectedly hard shot by Unai Calatayud in the 60th minute of play forced Ciruel Academy's goalkeeper Jacob Alavedra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Tartalo Rajoi sped through Ciruel Academy's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jacob Alavedra. When Atlético Ourense's Tartalo Rajoi in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Atlético Ourense's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
