Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eriberto Waddington to make the kick off. When Eriberto Waddington fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Roche's protests and gave Eriberto Waddington a yellow card for diving instead. Eriberto Waddington hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. The Roche fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Nueva Chicago were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
