Rune Snäll took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ingmar Bergman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes into the game, Ingmar Bergman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Rune Snäll was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 20 minutes into the game, Facundo Feria was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PERSPOLIS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rayo Tharkad the free kick. After a rather tough play, PERSPOLIS's Facundo Feria got a free kick in the 20th minute. Rune Snäll showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bela Herrero in the 21st minute of the match. PERSPOLIS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Manolo Lacorte scored to the left of an out of position Gianluigi Donnarumma, making the score, 1-2. Gianluigi Donnarumma made an important save on a dangerous shot by Humberto Leon in the 29th minute. Rune Snäll showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Facundo Feria, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute.
