In the 9th minute, Apoena Ocaña ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Olo Kahn was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The supporters of C.D. Ciudad de Soria booed when Rayo Tharkad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hondo Arratia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rune Snäll showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Berriotxoa in the 13th minute of the match. C.D. Ciudad de Soria's Olo Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Leon in the 24th minute of play. Humberto Leon scored 1-2 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Olo Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Manolo Lacorte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute, Zumar Figueroa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute, Manolo Lacorte ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Olo Kahn was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Hondo Arratia might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Olo Kahn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hondo Arratia ran back to his position shaking his head. Domenech Villa hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Apoena Ocaña stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Manolo Lacorte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Olo Kahn made a huge save. In the 53rd match minute, C.D. Ciudad de Soria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro Zamora to maneuver through the defense. Manolo Lacorte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Olo Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gai Izaguirre kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Martin Berriotxoa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. When C.D. Ciudad de Soria's Arrosko Rojas in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rayo Tharkad's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domenech Villa in the 70th minute of play forced Rayo Tharkad's goalkeeper Rune Snäll to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 71 played minutes C.D. Ciudad de Soria got a freekick which was hit by Ovidio Zapater. In the 73rd match minute, C.D. Ciudad de Soria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ovidio Zapater to maneuver through the defense. 74 minutes into the game, Rayo Tharkad's Zumar Figueroa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Olo Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. If Gai Izaguirre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. C.D. Ciudad de Soria made a substitution. Ramond Landa replaced Domenech Villa. Olo Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Apoena Ocaña's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Rayo Tharkad's goal looked a bit too open when Eron Patiño came free, but Rune Snäll reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 91 played minutes C.D. Ciudad de Soria got a freekick which was hit by Diego Gandia. Diego Gandia kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Rayo Tharkad walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
