Spectators: 8473 (Terracing: 6356, Seating: 1948, VIP seats: 169) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Arturo Cassone took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gino Travassos in the 5th minute of play forced Olimpico de Atenea C.F's goalkeeper Zenon Kasprzak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th minute, Gumersindo Camaño made a precise shot to the right of Zenon Kasprzak. Olimpico de Atenea C.F's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 9th minute Gumersindo Camaño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zenon Kasprzak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Olimpico de Atenea C.F defense, Gumersindo Camaño kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zenon Kasprzak. The Olimpico de Atenea C.F fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zenon Kasprzak should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Arturo Cassone managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olimpico de Atenea C.F's supporters rose to their feet, but Arturo Cassone was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pericles Zárate made an important save on a dangerous shot by Feliksas Dilys in the 25th minute. After having played for 27 minutes, Feliksas Dilys managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olimpico de Atenea C.F's supporters crossed their fingers, but Feliksas Dilys was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Feliksas Dilys had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zenon Kasprzak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gino Travassos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the game, Cruz Herrero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olimpico de Atenea C.F's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sporting Xirinella the free kick. After 31 played minutes Olimpico de Atenea C.F got a freekick which was hit by Cruz Herrero. Feliksas Dilys came free with the goalkeeper in the 34th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Pericles Zárate could save by the left post. Pericles Zárate made an important save on a dangerous shot by Feliksas Dilys in the 35th minute. After 40 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Olimpico de Atenea C.F! Zenon Kasprzak had in the 42ndth minute some difficulties stopping Flavio Echavarri's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Zenon Kasprzak didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Flavio Echavarri went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Olimpico de Atenea C.F defense, Luis-Enrique Padilla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zenon Kasprzak. The Olimpico de Atenea C.F fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zenon Kasprzak should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

If Miltiadis Maltezakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zenon Kasprzak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luis-Enrique Padilla in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gino Travassos in the 58th minute of play forced Olimpico de Atenea C.F's goalkeeper Zenon Kasprzak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gino Travassos got free in front of the goal in the 59th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Zenon Kasprzak was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Olimpico de Atenea C.F's Alain Ponce De Leon was substituted for Feliksas Dilys. Sporting Xirinella's Edelmiro Casas was substituted for Narciso Gasso. The crowd rose to their feet as Sporting Xirinella's Gino Travassos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zenon Kasprzak. That made the score 0-5 after 63 minutes of play. Gino Travassos hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. The supporters of Sporting Xirinella booed when Olimpico de Atenea C.F was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romo Figueres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zenon Kasprzak came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting Xirinella's Miltiadis Maltezakis. But to his dismay, Miltiadis Maltezakis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. In the 85th minute, Gumersindo Camaño reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Zenon Kasprzak. The goal made the score 0-7. Pericles Zárate showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alain Ponce De Leon in the 87th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Sporting Xirinella's Gumersindo Camaño slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zenon Kasprzak. That made the score 0-8 after 89 minutes of play. Olimpico de Atenea C.F's Zenon Kasprzak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Olimpico de Atenea C.F from getting a goal against them. When the match was over Sporting Xirinella could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Olimpico de Atenea C.F throughout the match.
