But to his dismay, Virgil Wiwel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Abraham Muusholt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abraham Muusholt in the 23rd minute of play forced Team Damascus's goalkeeper Eddy Sparrø to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Virgil Wiwel in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eddy Sparrø saved Team Damascus from getting behind. Eddy Sparrø took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgil Wiwel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Virgil Wiwel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Eddy Sparrø tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Claus Smith to strike the kick off in the second half. Henrik Hesseltved showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rikardt Kenrud, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Virgil Wiwel might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eddy Sparrø. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Virgil Wiwel ran back to his position shaking his head.
