Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Niki Rentoft in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Richard Eglund prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 7th minute Tomas Groszhennig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Eglund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Saarup FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Villy Sannemann hit a great ball. Manfred Plenning received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Richard Eglund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Brogaard FC's Niki Rentoft in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Saarup FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 13th minute, Niki Rentoft ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Richard Eglund was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Tomas Groszhennig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Richard Eglund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Sager in the 22nd minute of the match. Niki Rentoft's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Richard Eglund read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Richard Eglund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manfred Plenning, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the game, Brogaard FC's Tomas Groszhennig nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Richard Eglund made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Mourits Gudjohnsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ditlef Thornit having to interfere. The supporters of Saarup FC booed when Brogaard FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gert Eggersfelt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Godtfred Nurby kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Manfred Plenning sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Niki Rentoft received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Niki Rentoft to make the kick off. Richard Eglund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnfred Romensen in the 53rd minute of play. After having played for 60 minutes, Tomas Groszhennig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brogaard FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Groszhennig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Saarup FC's zone, Niki Rentoft stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard Eglund came out of the goal and Niki Rentoft tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ejvind Eberlin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Richard Eglund came out and tried to block the shot, but Ejvind Eberlin slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 71st minute. Richard Eglund made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Niki Rentoft sent off a good shot on target. Richard Eglund was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Niki Rentoft showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 80 minute of play. Manfred Plenning fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Eglund having to interfere. Brogaard FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
