Lucjan Kanczuszewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heine Gnaust, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sebastean Bønsvig recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Mejlby FV's zone, Mads Jørgensen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Omar Hjortsbjerg came out of the goal and Mads Jørgensen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Mads Jørgensen came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Rye FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mads Jørgensen couldn't finish the play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mads Jørgensen made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Rye FC's goalkeeper Lucjan Kanczuszewski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebastean Bønsvig. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mads Jørgensen in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Omar Hjortsbjerg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 54th minute Sebastean Sejerholt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucjan Kanczuszewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 58 played minutes Rye FC got a freekick which was hit by Eskil Wirenfeldt. Mejlby FV's Omar Hjortsbjerg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerzy Kempski in the 64th minute of play. Mads Jørgensen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rye FC's Lucjan Kanczuszewski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Rye FC from getting a goal against them. Lucjan Kanczuszewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastean Sejerholt in the 82nd minute of play. Mads Jørgensen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Mejlby FV getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Heino Hessenschmidt hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Jerzy Kempski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rye FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jerzy Kempski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Omar Hjortsbjerg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpected shot in the 90th minute by Sebastean Bønsvig got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Mads Jørgensen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Omar Hjortsbjerg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucjan Kanczuszewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastean Bønsvig, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
