Ove Kjærsman hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. The supporters of Brevduerne booed when Nees SIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manfred Nelstrøm didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Brevduerne's goalkeeper Kristofer Izard, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Brevduerne's Kristofer Izard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manfred Nelstrøm in the 18th minute of play. The supporters of Brevduerne booed when Nees SIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niklas Leibølle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donald Onbeck could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Kristofer Izard made a huge save. Nees SIK's Manfred Nelstrøm got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 34th minute, Ingolf Arnfjeld left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brevduerne fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Donald Onbeck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 46 minutes into the match, Nees SIK's goal looked a bit too open when Ingolf Arnfjeld came free, but Hagbart Karstoft reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Helmuth Foss, 48 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manfred Nelstrøm to make the kick off. When Walther Palmfeldt fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nees SIK's protests and gave Walther Palmfeldt a yellow card for diving instead. Nees SIK's Hagbart Karstoft played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingolf Arnfjeld in the 55th minute of play. Kristofer Izard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manfred Nelstrøm, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Kristofer Izard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toke Holvard in the 67th minute of the match. If Marcos Bryhm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manfred Nelstrøm in the 72nd minute of play forced Brevduerne's goalkeeper Kristofer Izard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Nees SIK getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Toke Holvard hit a great ball. After having played for 79 minutes, Ingolf Arnfjeld managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brevduerne's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ingolf Arnfjeld was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Ingolf Arnfjeld came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Brevduerne fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ingolf Arnfjeld couldn't finish the play. If Donald Onbeck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Brevduerne's Gerner Thorold got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 92nd minute William Witton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristofer Izard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donald Onbeck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Helmuth Foss during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 95 played minutes Brevduerne got a freekick which was hit by Helmuth Foss. William Witton struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Kristofer Izard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nees SIK. The Brevduerne supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Brevduerne would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
