The referee ignored Vejen FC's protests and gave Viggo Vibjerg a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Vejen FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Viggo Vibjerg hit a great ball. In the 5th minute of the match Toby Baum sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Charley Bengtson skillfully saved the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tobias Reisby got free with Lars Timper in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lars Timper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicky Bardi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julian Dejo hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jannich Lindener in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Charley Bengtson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Julian Dejo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Charley Bengtson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Jannich Lindener got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 24 minutes into the game, Jimmi Pøssel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fc Islamabad's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vejen FC the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 24th minute of the game. One of Fc Islamabad:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vejen FC:s goal. 1-0 came through a penalty shot after 25 played minutes, when Vejen FC:s Bert Arnseth calmly waited for Fc Islamabad:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. Jannich Lindener sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute, Jannich Lindener hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lars Timper made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Tobias Reisby sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jannich Lindener to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tobias Reisby in the 54th minute of play forced Fc Islamabad's goalkeeper Lars Timper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Charley Bengtson didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 56th minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. When the match clock showed 60 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Jannich Lindener sped through Vejen FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Charley Bengtson. Petter Burman scored 2-4 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Charley Bengtson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Petter Burman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Charley Bengtson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Tobias Reisby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tobias Reisby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lars Timper having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, Fc Islamabad's goal looked a bit too open when Olav Bomin came free, but Lars Timper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tobias Reisby recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tobias Reisby in the 95th minute of play forced Fc Islamabad's goalkeeper Lars Timper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lars Timper showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicky Bardi in the 96th minute of the match. Fc Islamabad's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
