The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Caspar Dines made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Prenter in the 8th minute of play. Franck Bardevig struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Caspar Dines didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monstrup. Jonathan Nuerup hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the game, René Bierring recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pelle Geddebro. René Bierring showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Bobby Mülverstedt kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. René Bierrings short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Pelle Geddebro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Richard Prenter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monstrup's supporters rose to their feet, but Richard Prenter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caspar Dines breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. René Bierring could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Pelle Geddebro made a huge save. Laurits Hauvil kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Pelle Geddebro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Alfas, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Caspar Dines took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franck Bardevig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 49 minutes into the match, Fyllested's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Prenter came free, but Caspar Dines reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Franck Bardevig made the kick off in the second half. Simon Alfas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pelle Geddebro having to interfere. Richard Prenter scored 1-1 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Caspar Dines, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pelle Geddebro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from René Bierring in the 66th minute of play. Franck Bardevig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caspar Dines having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Monstrup's Preben Skjaldholt got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 83rd minute of the match, Franck Bardevig tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Caspar Dines saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, Monstrup's Bobby Mülverstedt got a free kick in the 85th minute. If Richard Prenter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Fyllested supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Monstrup's performance. The match ended with a win for Monstrup.
