Mogens Hafding took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kristian Rodby, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute Kristian Rodby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mogens Hafding saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vilhelm Parsborg hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. The supporters of Thorsø SIK booed when Hampen F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Therkil Marslew didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paul Fossingkjær made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niklaes Ferrari in the 20th minute of play. When Therkil Marslew fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hampen F.C.'s protests and gave Therkil Marslew a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Thorsø SIK booed when Hampen F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Therkil Marslew didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kristian Rodby's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mogens Hafding read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Therkil Marslew managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hampen F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Therkil Marslew was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paul Fossingkjær breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
