The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 minutes, Ove Flørnæs mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Skovstrup SIK and the Thorsø SIK players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Skovstrup SIK getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Ove Flørnæs hit a great ball. 7 minutes into the match, Skovstrup SIK's goal looked a bit too open when Kristian Rodby came free, but Teddi Træholm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paul Fossingkjær showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Terkel Wichfeld in the 11th minute of the match. Vilhelm Parsborg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 21 minutes into the match, Skovstrup SIK's goal looked a bit too open when Kristian Rodby came free, but Teddi Træholm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kristian Rodby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Teddi Træholm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Chris Lønskov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thorsø SIK's supporters rose to their feet, but Chris Lønskov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teddi Træholm breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 29th minute Terkel Wichfeld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Fossingkjær saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Terkel Wichfeld in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paul Fossingkjær saved Thorsø SIK from getting behind. Paul Fossingkjær didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Viktor Dehli went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Skovstrup SIK's Viktor Dehli in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Thorsø SIK's goalie prevented a goal. Teddi Træholm made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kristian Rodby in the 42nd minute. Kristian Rodby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Teddi Træholm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Kristian Rodby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Skovstrup SIK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Kristian Rodby made the kick off in the second half. Chris Lønskov kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Skovstrup SIK's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Lønskov came free, but Teddi Træholm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kristian Rodby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vilhelm Parsborg during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Thorsø SIK getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Vilhelm Parsborg hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristian Rodby in the 73rd minute of play forced Skovstrup SIK's goalkeeper Teddi Træholm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kristian Rodby in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teddi Træholm prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Thorsø SIK booed when Skovstrup SIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kent Mejnholt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute Kristian Rodby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teddi Træholm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Kent Mejnholt fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Skovstrup SIK's protests and gave Kent Mejnholt a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Thorsø SIK booed when Skovstrup SIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kent Mejnholt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86thth minute of the game Kristian Rodby who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Skovstrup SIK's Teddi Træholm was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Chris Lønskov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teddi Træholm read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Thorsø SIK's Kristian Rodby sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Teddi Træholm narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Kristian Rodby managed to get in a good position for a shot.
