Heine Reinø tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Poul Hønborg during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Gantrup SIK's Poul Hønborg got a free kick in the 14th minute. If Roald Breumby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22ndth minute of the game Roald Breumby who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gantrup SIK's Heine Reinø was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Heine Reinø stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roald Breumby's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. The supporters of Dreslette AC booed when Gantrup SIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lenny Draggard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roald Breumby recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 31st minute, Roald Breumby made a precise shot to the right of Heine Reinø. Gantrup SIK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 36 minutes into the game, Samson Isbrand was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gantrup SIK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dreslette AC the free kick. Dreslette AC's Torkild Code was substituted for Toke Kujack. After a rather tough play, Gantrup SIK's Samson Isbrand got a free kick in the 38th minute. Steff Halvadaki hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. When Dreslette AC's Roald Breumby in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gantrup SIK's goalie prevented a goal. Roald Breumby blasted a shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Heine Reinø having to make a save. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Tom Koppenberg made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Dreslette AC's Kim Gryberg got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 61st minute, Jari Valsing hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wladimir Kragenæs came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Gantrup SIK's Tom Koppenberg. But to his dismay, Tom Koppenberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Chris Risom charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chris Risom the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Gantrup SIK getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Chris Risom hit a great ball. Poul Hønborg was shown his second yellow card after 75 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Poul Hønborg hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Balthasar Beermann made in the 78th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Dreslette AC's Torkild Code. If Torkild Code had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 80th match minute, Gantrup SIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jari Valsing to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Konrad Stævne got free with Heine Reinø in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Heine Reinø showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jari Fahrnholz, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. With his leg Heine Reinø managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when Dreslette AC's Roald Breumby fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Gantrup SIK's zone, Roald Breumby stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Heine Reinø came out of the goal and Roald Breumby tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Gantrup SIK getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Tom Koppenberg hit a great ball. Heine Reinø made a fantastic save in the 98th minute, when Roald Breumby sent off a good shot on target. Dreslette AC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Gantrup SIK to leave the ground with a draw.
