Egil Alvheygg was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 6th minute. mals united's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. With his leg Sigfried Eggersfelt managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when mals united's Uwe Manthorpe fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Uwe Manthorpes short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Sigfried Eggersfelt to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Niclas Stensvang managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tjørnehoved's supporters rose to their feet, but Niclas Stensvang was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nikolai Grevsby breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tjørnehoved's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Uwe Manthorpe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 36th minute Egil Alvheygg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sigfried Eggersfelt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tejs Gaardsøe hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. When Uwe Manthorpe came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the mals united fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Uwe Manthorpe couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Niclas Stensvang made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Egil Alvheygg made a precise shot to the right of Sigfried Eggersfelt. Tjørnehoved's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Egil Alvheygg managed to get in a good position for a shot. mals united's supporters rose to their feet, but Egil Alvheygg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sigfried Eggersfelt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Egil Alvheygg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to mals united getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Egil Thaarslund hit a great ball. If Egil Alvheygg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Niclas Stensvang might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nikolai Grevsby. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Niclas Stensvang ran back to his position shaking his head. After 74 minutes, Karljohan Thamm mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the mals united and the Tjørnehoved players grew even worse after the yellow card. Karljohan Thamm hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute Uwe Manthorpe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sigfried Eggersfelt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Egil Alvheygg in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sigfried Eggersfelt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Uwe Manthorpe sped through Tjørnehoved's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sigfried Eggersfelt. Egil Alvheygg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sigfried Eggersfelt having to interfere. Sigfried Eggersfelt came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by mals united's Egil Alvheygg. But to his dismay, Egil Alvheygg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. After a defensive mix-up in Tjørnehoved's zone, Egil Alvheygg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sigfried Eggersfelt came out of the goal and Egil Alvheygg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. mals united's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
