Amin Oreby's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Niklas Gurholdt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Christopher Stansen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amin Oreby could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Niklas Gurholdt made a huge save. 23 minutes into the match, Frederikshede SIK's goal looked a bit too open when Lavrits Lebæk came free, but Niklas Gurholdt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Frederikshede SIK's goalkeeper Niklas Gurholdt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lavrits Lebæk struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Niklas Gurholdt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Katröd SIK. Niklas Gurholdt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lavrits Lebæk in the 33rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Katröd SIK's Dario Galan got a free kick in the 35th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Katröd SIK's goal looked a bit too open when Jari Glendal came free, but Svenning Hillman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christopher Stansen in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Svenning Hillman saved Katröd SIK from getting behind. Niklas Gurholdt made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Amin Oreby sent off a good shot on target. Niklas Gurholdt was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lavrits Lebæk showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 45 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Niklas Gurholdt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lavrits Lebæk in the 54th minute of play. Katröd SIK were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Frederikshede SIK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ronni Tørnbak took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Kristen Perelli managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. When Lavrits Lebæk came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Katröd SIK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lavrits Lebæk couldn't finish the play. Amin Oreby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niklas Gurholdt having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, Katröd SIK's Lavrits Lebæk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Niklas Gurholdt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Christopher Stansen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute, Lavrits Lebæk ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Niklas Gurholdt was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 72 minutes into the match, Christopher Stansen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Svenning Hillman. Katröd SIK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christopher Stansen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The audience was convinced that Amin Oreby's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Niklas Gurholdt was relentless in the 79th minute of the game.
