The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thorbjørn Skånvad got free with Loke Jarslev in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aage Hassinggaard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jakob Kiilblad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Børge Warring in the 23rd minute of the match. Loke Jarslev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Janick Mathisson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thorbjørn Skånvad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC RY's Loke Jarslev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Janick Mathisson in the 35th minute of play. Torbjørn Netra might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jakob Kiilblad. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Torbjørn Netra ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in FC RY's zone, Janick Mathisson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Loke Jarslev came out of the goal and Janick Mathisson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thorbjørn Skånvad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Janick Mathisson made the kick off in the second half. Børge Warring received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Jakob Kiilblad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Janick Mathisson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, FC RY's Jasper Bernskjold got a free kick in the 61st minute.
