Piotr Kingstoft's late challenge caught a Pingvinbanden's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Piotr Kingstoft helped the player get up and apologised. Axel Bækholt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gynther Fleinert having to interfere. The supporters of Sønderhede booed when Pingvinbanden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anders Helge didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Sønderhede's Gynther Fleinert got control of the ball when Chris Digemose tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Pingvinbanden getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Anders Helge hit a great ball. Gynther Fleinert made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anders Helge in the 41st minute. Chris Digemose sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anders Helge could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Gynther Fleinert made a huge save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Axel Bækholt made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, Jesper Gløde recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hagbart Brakker. Jesper Gløde showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Hagbart Brakker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jesper Gløde, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Ferdinand Lundshøj charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ferdinand Lundshøj the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ferdinand Lundshøj hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Hagbart Brakker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jesper Gløde in the 94th minute of play. Steff Kinne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hagbart Brakker having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
