The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Laust Merup had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 7 minutes into the match, The Real Penguins's goal looked a bit too open when Oswald Stokhardt came free, but Boje Refsager reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Svenn Adelbjørn charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Svenn Adelbjørn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 8th match minute, The Real Penguins was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Svenn Adelbjørn to maneuver through the defense. Herbert Brandsmark made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Svenaage Agermose in the 14th minute of play. If Laust Merup had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute Svenaage Agermose shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herbert Brandsmark saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Herbert Brandsmark showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Svenaage Agermose, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Oswald Stokhardt dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Boje Refsager, 1-0. In the 27th minute, Valter Spangsgaard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 32nd match minute, Havrevænge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oswald Stokhardt to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute, Laust Merup hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Oswald Stokhardt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Boje Refsager was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. In the 35th match minute, The Real Penguins was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Piet Gilbro to maneuver through the defense. Boje Refsager made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oswald Stokhardt in the 37th minute of play. Herbert Brandsmark showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laust Merup in the 40th minute of the match. If Laust Merup had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oswald Stokhardt to make the kick off. In the 58th minute Laust Merup shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herbert Brandsmark saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st minute of the match Rudolph Brathen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Boje Refsager skillfully saved the ball. Oswald Stokhardt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Boje Refsager tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Boje Refsager came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Havrevænge's Oswald Stokhardt. But to his dismay, Oswald Stokhardt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Herbert Brandsmark was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Laust Merup showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 71 minute of play. If Svenaage Agermose had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 76 minutes, Laust Merup managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Real Penguins's supporters crossed their fingers, but Laust Merup was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 79 minutes into the match, The Real Penguins's goal looked a bit too open when Valter Spangsgaard came free, but Boje Refsager reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Valter Spangsgaard came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Havrevænge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valter Spangsgaard couldn't finish the play. Oswald Stokhardt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute, Oswald Stokhardt made a precise shot to the right of Boje Refsager. The Real Penguins's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Piet Gilbro got free with Herbert Brandsmark in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Havrevænge's Oswald Stokhardt got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Boje Refsager showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valter Spangsgaard in the 96th minute of the match. When Havrevænge's Valter Spangsgaard in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye The Real Penguins's goalie prevented a goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the The Real Penguins players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Havrevænge.
