The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 6 minutes of play, Godthaab SIK's Kaj Reinsborg made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tage Rystrand was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tjerrild Champions's Tage Rystrand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Mensink in the 10th minute of play. The attack was good, but when Nickolaj Staanum in the 12th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 14th minute Rudolf Marup shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tage Rystrand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tjerrild Champions's Tage Rystrand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Mensink in the 16th minute of play. Omar Mensink fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tage Rystrand having to interfere. Godthaab SIK's Arvid Fjeldvig hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 3-1! Omar Mensink received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Tage Rystrand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kaj Reinsborg was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute, Kaj Reinsborg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kaj Reinsborg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tage Rystrand having to interfere. Nickolaj Staanum struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Arvid Fjeldvig didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tjerrild Champions. Omar Mensink sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Tjerrild Champions booed when Godthaab SIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wagner Gjellerod didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arvid Fjeldvig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nickolaj Staanum, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 72 minutes into the game, Asmus Weizman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Godthaab SIK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tjerrild Champions the free kick. In the 72nd match minute, Godthaab SIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Asmus Weizman to maneuver through the defense. Nickolaj Staanum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Arvid Fjeldvig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rudolf Marup might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tage Rystrand. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rudolf Marup ran back to his position shaking his head. Arvid Fjeldvig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nickolaj Staanum in the 80th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rudolf Marup in the 82nd minute of play forced Tjerrild Champions's goalkeeper Tage Rystrand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Omar Mensink could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Tage Rystrand made a huge save. After 84 played minutes Tjerrild Champions got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Reenvig. Tage Rystrand made an important save on a dangerous shot by Asmus Weizman in the 89th minute. After a rather tough play, Godthaab SIK's Jimmy Salsø got a free kick in the 91st minute. The throw-in from Jimmy Salsø in the 95th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Tjerrild Champions's Piet Falsborg. When the referee ended the match the Tjerrild Champions players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
