After 8 played minutes, Elmander Tigers I.F's Boje Stenlev shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Placido Santiago came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Elmander Tigers I.F reached it. Køge Boldklub's Asmus Sjølin got his second yellow card of the match in the 12th minute. The referee ordered Asmus Sjølin off the ground. In the 18th minute, Adam Angeldrup hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the game, Køge Boldklub's Adam Angeldrup nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hjalmar Blaksmark made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The audience was convinced that Herluf Janstrøm's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hjalmar Blaksmark was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Herluf Janstrøm managed to get in a good position for a shot. Køge Boldklub's supporters rose to their feet, but Herluf Janstrøm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hjalmar Blaksmark breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The wind increased when Edgar Stjernenfeldt made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Køge Boldklub's Herluf Janstrøm slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hjalmar Blaksmark. That made the score 0-2 after 52 minutes of play. Placido Santiago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Stjernenfeldt in the 58th minute of the match. The supporters of Elmander Tigers I.F booed when Køge Boldklub was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kristoffer Assing didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 69 played minutes, Elmander Tigers I.F's Boje Stenlev shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Placido Santiago came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Herluf Janstrøm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Herluf Janstrøm in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hjalmar Blaksmark saved Elmander Tigers I.F from getting behind. 80 minutes into the match, Herluf Janstrøm had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hjalmar Blaksmark. Elmander Tigers I.F's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Herluf Janstrøm was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Hjalmar Blaksmark had great luck who in the 93rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Henry Logan from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. The Elmander Tigers I.F fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Køge Boldklub were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
