Gregorius Hornung showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bert Ebbekær, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 20 minutes into the game, Hansmorten Huglstad was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Møgeltorum AC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Crvena Zvezda the free kick. When Bert Ebbekær came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Møgeltorum AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bert Ebbekær couldn't finish the play. Vilfred Holbækgaard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Steffen Kadsted tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Steffen Kadsted took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herman Castenfeldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gregorius Hornung showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Curt Pragler in the 35th minute of the match. If Bert Ebbekær had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Curt Pragler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Gregorius Hornung tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bert Ebbekær was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Crvena Zvezda's goalkeeper Gregorius Hornung had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Curt Pragler. If Herman Castenfeldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 59 played minutes Crvena Zvezda got a freekick which was hit by Torleif Urbrand. In the 59th minute of the match Rene Juul sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gregorius Hornung skillfully saved the ball. If Herman Castenfeldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bert Ebbekær sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute, Møgeltorum AC's Curt Pragler ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gregorius Hornung. Gregorius Hornung yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Curt Pragler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Crvena Zvezda's zone, Curt Pragler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gregorius Hornung came out of the goal and Curt Pragler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 73 played minutes Crvena Zvezda got a freekick which was hit by Wolfgang Fakkenor. Herman Castenfeldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Steffen Kadsted tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Møgeltorum AC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Møgeltorum AC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
